Press Release for Luis Espada

December 3, 2020 | Ygor Deyko Ruiz Sánchez | Comunicado de Prensa en Español

At the end of last August, the different musical platforms reported the publication of a single by a new voice, with its own style, and with a special motivation to contribute to the salty sound, which little by little was is becoming reality. In the days prior to the launch of his new musical installment, we want to return to the recent starting point of the singer-songwriter Luis Espada, in order to properly locate this character who is bursting into the recording industry, and who, in addition, came to stay.

Luis Espada was born and raised in Philly (Philadelphia), however, his relationship with tasty music and the Puerto Rico of his ancestors was always a pleasant and frequent experience because his father, Mr. Silverio Espada Jr., born in Coamo and raised between this town and Santa Isabel, he took him every year to his native island. Mr. Silverio, who, after coming of age, traveled to “The City of Brotherly Love” for work reasons, meets in town Geraldina Pérez, a native of Newark (New Jersey) but of Puerto Rican descent. As a result of this relationship, Luis and two younger siblings (a man and a woman) are born.

As might be expected, it was Mr. Silverio who exposed Luis at an early age to the music that was made on the Island of Enchantment (Puerto Rico) and who would give him the first tutorials so that he could extract from the Congas the magical sounds that they are capable of producing in the right hands. He would also witness the first steps of his son taking piano lessons, music theory and then trumpet, which presaged his insertion into the musical world. In some way he was, from the business side, however, his professional projection was and is still linked to design consulting and creative management, as well as graphic, digital and advertising design in general: a work area that has allowed him to sustain to his home made up of Linda Alvarado, his wife, and the fruit of their love, their son Luis Espada Jr.

But going back to the issue that concerns us and summons us, sometime ago Luis Espada got involved and participated in various stages doing chorus, so we would say that the seed germinated there to bear fruit today. In addition, we must highlight that Luis Espada has already composed around twenty songs, “Tu Calor” being the first that he records and shares. This December, he will share two more songs and next year we will witness the launch of his first complete personal music production. Stay tuned!

The theme, as stated above, is authored by Luis Espada himself, he plays the piano in the song and was in charge of the arrangements, the transcription of which was made by the renowned Venezuelan musician Víctor Gámez, who together with his team of traditional musicians put the corresponding musical framework to which Luis Espada puts the final touch in his own studio (voice and piano) and which is finally mixed and mastered at Urban Music Company.
